Melbar has a highly skilled staff of 20 and operates shifts to ensure continuous workflow.

BARRY HAYES - Owner

Barry is the Owner and Managing Director - Melbar Engineering (1991) Limited.

He took on an apprenticeship as a fitter and turner with his father's firm.

Barry has learned his skills from being a "hands on" manager and Engineer in the business. Like most of the staff at Melbar, skills are gained from years of work experience and it is this commitment to learning that has guided Melbar through its development over the past 40 years.

Barry is highly experienced in the areas of assessing, costing, pricing, people management and sorting out with customers what is the best way to tackle particular projects.

Barry regularly attends Management and Industry Training Courses.
